The NCC Culinary RUclips channel started as a way to show NCC Culinary students what they would be learning in their classes. We decided to make all our videos public so the world could enjoy the same culinary techniques our students learn. Since then, and thousands of views later, we've decided to continue adding our Culinary How-To videos for the world and - most importantly - for Nash Community College Culinary Arts students.

How to Prepare Peppers and Julienne
Thank you sir!
When you mess about with a food processor scooping the veg out and cleaning it all afterwards, I bet it's faster chopping by hand like this. Food processor makes it too small too. I make soffrito for my bolognese sauce and it turns the fried veg into sludge using a food processor. There's also usually a few big pieces the blades didn't catch.
Can I do this from frozen
pan steaming has to be my favorite newly learned way of cooking veggies! So easy and perhaps the best way to retain nutrients <3 I loved your pan steamed asparagus video as well!
This is the best recepie for broccoli! Thanks
Not how Gordon Ramsay teaches...
I needed this so my mother in law thinks I know what I’m doing. Thanks !
what is this method called? i need confirmation but i believe its called tunnelling right?
What time is it? Don Sexhour!!
Looks good but this is not really Steaming, it's more to boiling it as the broccolis is in water! At least change the title.
Thank you. Boiling is covering the item completely with water.
the horisontal cuts are retarded. the onion is naturally already separated like that. why do "chefs" keep showing that?
Where’s this broccoli from ?
Harris Teeter
My sweet daughter often eat broccoli in a week. She loves to eat Mushrooms and broccoli
Thank you chef
You are most welcome
I just made this tonight with dinner. It came out perfect! Thank you so much.
Wonderful!
bravo! No nasty splinters in 'your' portions
Great work.. Thanks a million
wet your knife before cutting 👻
Looks delicious. Can you pour the meaty broth mixture directly into the coffee strainer without the ladle or will that ruin the consommé?
That can work, he just used the label to avoid a mess
Vyzerá to fantasticky!
Warning! The actions performed in this video will make you cry.
I did this and my chef got mad bc it wasn't small enough. Anyone got any tips to make the dice even finer?
Very nice.
Good advice! I'll try it!
How long do i cook it for?
It depends on how soft or crunchy you want the texture of the broccoli. 🥦 peace
nice and slow, no music, and a beginner friendly explanation. i loved it thank you 🥰
video doesnt work
❤❤❤
Cranky blonde chef showed this. I think this is great. It makes onion cutting so simple. My only adjustment is I cut the horizontals first, then the verticals. And, thank you for saying/teaching: "This is not a race!" (That’s how you cut yourself)
I prefer it a little thicker and darker with some lobster garnish and a side of sherry
Make sure u use the right chopping board 😅😅
Works like a charm. Couldn’t be any more happier with the results !
Thank you ❤ I also Love Broccoli
Thank you!!
How much time total? 5 min ?
Depending on the size of the broccoli. 5 to 10 minutes
It has to be low or med heat while whisking on the stove?
Medium to medium high. Really high heat can scorch the sauce.
@@NCCCulinary ok noted. Thanks a lot!
I absolutely love broccoli but have been cooking it wrong for many years. This recipe is amazing!!!
Glad you like it!
You stole this recipe from Helen 8 years ago
Haha. I do not know who Helen is.
Pizza the ocky way put it on the Grill😂
Let's ocky together.
Bro just wasted 90% of the potato.. that's not done probably...
There is many ways to use the scraps and byproducts of practicing knife cuts. Mashed potatoes is of them.
HELP LOBSTER PEOPLE OF ZOIDBERGS PLANET IN FUTURAMA WANT TO COOK ME AND THEY SAY THEY CANT WAIT UNTIL THEY SEASON ME AND EAT ME
I hate meringue
WE love it here!
So basically Simon & Garfunkel: Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. I guess they forgot or couldn’t squeeze basil into the song
Damn! I don't like any of these herbs and I don'take Italian dishes.
Thanks.
Made this recipe yesterday and it came out fantastic! I added a little more paste, and a little less heavy cream, but otherwise stuck to the recipe. I can't say enough about it! Thanks for this video.
Great to hear you made it yours!
🙃 promo sm
Thanks.
Wow thats so much salt and butter 🫨🫨🫨
Yes it issssssss.
It definitely does not need it
Stop trying to save so much onion. It’s an onion! Also, make your horizontal cut before cutting from above. It makes the onion more stable and safer from cutting yourself.
Thanks
Excellent! Love the garlic compound butter. On my way to my kitchen and give it a try.
Hope you enjoy
Thanks for your response! 😉
I can't find garlic butter will horseradish suffice?
Just make your own. Soften salt-free butter and mash in some fresh garlic. You'll like it. @@PRtyon823
